Never buy a VW again!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
If I sold you something and you spend 30k financing it I would be happy business man and you a happy customer because you got what you wanted. However if you came back to me because the 30k product was not as advertised, not functioning as it should , I would offer you a refund and my apologies because thats how you operate a company. The customer is always right because without them your not in business. However if I took the VW approach, Id be asking you the customer to keep calm and explain to the customer that 30k is really an irrelevant amount of money. Id tell you "oh we will fix it for you" and We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen , have a nice day. Id be rubbing my hands and snickering as you walked out the door trusting me due to the long history and reputation of my company (VW). Yet days pass into weeks and you keep coming back week after week asking me if I fixed this 30k item and I do not offer anything except the same old “We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” the next month you come back and I say, “ We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” Maybe somewhere in three month after this, I sense you are getting angrier every time you come back cause I do nothing to fix it for you but just tell you again “We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” . Yet now I understand I must mellow the mood so one your twentieth trip back to my store, i offer you 1000 dollars on a visa card and 1000 dollars to spend on my full array of cheap Chinese made VW garbage accessories that the dollar store would sell and tell you “We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” Snickering and rubbing my hands as I just gave you back a little of the interest you paid me in form of a gift and you where dumb enough to take it. Now I coned you twice and bought some time. 6, 7, 8 month go by and you’ve had it. You just spend hours on the phone calling VW being put on hold, holding and waiting until you can get some answers but all you get is idiots that don’t listen to any word you have said but rather wait for pauses in your rant to say 5 words. “ Oh, well we do apologize” other than that its the same mundane old “We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” They say nothing else, nor stray away from a a few lines of text that they have been assigned and deemed intelligent enough to handle. “ We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Volkswagen” . Meanwhile, I’ve collected another bonus check as CEO and have no intentions of dealing with you again and for me business is great and you well you are just another customer. The end! My name is Robert Theimer , I have bought to Volkswagens for my family, both effected by the recall, and trusted the company as I am from Germany and grew up with these cars. Ive owned many VW over the years. At the end of the day its not about the emissions or the problems that happened with the cars. Things happen i can understand! Its the the way you VOLKSWAGEN have handles your customers and treated us like worthless , irrelevant sh•t. I hope you know that I will never buy one of your cars again due to your lack of resepct. To think that today May 25th 2016, i just paid another 1000 bucks for my two financed tdi’s really ticks me off . Im just doing it to protect my credit score so I guess you got me by the balls! Ich hoffe ihr geht pleite, und ich hoffe das ihr Arschlocher ganz oben, bald unter einer Brücke Pennt! Ihr voll Assis!

FLAT OUT PISSED OFF!

2010 Jetta Sportwagon TDI - VW thinks 10K for my car and 5K for damages is sufficient after they COMMITTED FRAUD! You sold me a lie VW!

I planned on getting 300K miles out of this car. Now I am barely at 100K I had every single service performed at the dealer. I have taken care of my car thinking VW was an honest company. NOPE!

Now today my radio just quits, everything has ben checked, it's just dead! The dealers want nothing to do with these PIECE OF *** POLLUTERS! And every mile I drive you will now ding me for and decrease the amount you pay back for the vehicle. VW should have to pay back every single cent I paid for this car.

FRAUD IS FRAUD! Shame on you VW!

My VW has had 9 repairs in 21 months and the local dealer can’t fix it. I sent a letter to the VW CEO but he refused to receive my complaint!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a VW Touareg which has now clocked about 50,000 km and is still under warranty until 2018. In the last 21 months, this car has been in the workshop for repairs 9 times – twice due to power steering problem and 7 times due to the engine warning light, which kept alerting me of “problems” every few months again and again. The local dealer (VW Ali & Sons Abu Dhabi) has tried replacing the ACF canister valve, the charcoal filter, the N80 wiring, the fuel regulator, etc, but the problem kept resurfacing again. I have been told that they will now replace the whole fuel tank and pipes for the car. Will this be the end of my problem? I doubt so, given the past record of one repair every 2.3 months, which is a horrible record for a VW product and service. I have lost valuable time for work and family because of the problem car. In addition, the recurrent problem has made me nervous and angry, which is not good for my health. After 21 months and 9 repairs, it seems that the local dealer’s approach is to fix my car whenever it’s broken – but this is not good enough because it’s not giving me a permanent solution! I have told the local importer (AVME-Audi Volkswagen Middle East) that since I was sold a defective car that seems unfixable, then they should at least replace my car with another VW Touareg of similar specification, age, mileage and warranty, but one which has a problem-free record. I am really tired of having to send the car to the workshop every few months and am very disappointed that the local VW dealer and importer have not been able to solve my problem once and for all, despite my numerous complaints. So I wrote a complaint to VW CEO Matthias Mueller in Germany on 06/03/2016 – but the courier company said that his office refused to receive my letter! What a horrible experience with a problem car and now a car maker who refused to accept a customer complaint. I have owned Fords, Chevrolets, Nissans and Hyundais before and now also own a Toyota – all of these cars have given me none or very little problem – compared to the VW Touareg which seems to be perpetually problematic! I really regret buying a VW.

I had a similar issue with my VW. I sent my complaint up to their corporate office who refused to do anything about it, but at least promised to cover current repairs.

So instead I waited until they fixed it, I sold that care to another dealer and never bought another VW. Sorry about your luck, I hope you figure it out.

My car is under warranty until 2018 so they will have to keep fixing it at their cost for the next two years. However since it is a recurrent problem, I have no confidence that they can fix it once and for all.

I thought about selling the car but I will lose about €21,000 and wonder if the person/dealer I sell the car to will come back looking for me when he discovers the problem. The problem is VW and you are right, I'll never buy another VW.

Bad beetle

My windows will not go down if it's below 0 degrees. this means I can not get into the car as the door will not open until the window goes down. VW has no solution & it's clear this has been a problem with the bug for 6 years. VW continues to use the same windows therefore it's an unreliable car in the cold weather & stressful wondering if you'll be able to get into the car if it's cold outside. So far the only solution is to climb through the trunk of your 2014 VW beetle. I've tried lubricants & deicers. I've had many conversations with VW Canada customer care. When I asked if the rep could get into her car when it's 0 degrees outside she said "I don't drive a beetle" Really??????????

Volks Wagen unprofessional sale team I ever experienced

unprofessional sale team I ever experienced including the Manager. No knowledge about the product, just make false promises on the phone and once you walk in they back out for everything they committed to over the phone. Never Deal with Gianluca grande (sales and leasing Consultant)and sales team as this guy will only waste your time.He wasted my 3 hours, and beating bushes, even the manager has no regard what his salesperson promise.I specially drove my car over 30 km to reach them ,before my appointment i specifically asked him everything and he promised me i wont be disappointed, but it was totally opposite what he promise.

Their new approach is to "Ban" me from the nearest dealership who can't seem to find

what's wrong with my car (continually)...The Service Manager at Sonnen VW San Rafael "Dave" claims I was "abusive to his staff in front of other customers" even though there was no one there when I tried to pick up my car; when they said it was ready and then it wouldn't start...OOPS!!!

Interesting tactic, considering I would be happy just to have the car run, and they are in clear violation of the CA Lemon Law statute"(2) the vehicle is out of service by reason of repair of nonconformities by the manufacturer or its agents for a cumulative total of more than 30 calendar days since delivery of the vehicle to the buyer."

VW Diesel RECALL

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am upset, that VW made a bad business decision. I own a a 2013 Pass. TDI and I have owned a 68 Beetle, 72 Rabbit diesel and 2010 Jetta TDI. The press has given more coverage to VW, than they gave to GM's ignition switch problems. Let's be fair cover the issue, get to the cause and tell us how it will be eliminated. I may be understating the VW-NOX issue. How much dose VW emissions contribute to the overall pollution of our environment? How effective is the testing? What dose the emission laws state about the speed in which the polution is to be control? I have not read any coverage regarding my driving a VW TDI. I will keep my VW, It is well made and I have all the bells and whistles. But, I want the auto' s performance to remain the same. AS for may next car, it remains to be seen, in the mean time I will keep idling along.

VW CUSTOMER SERVICE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Still jerking me around, promising me I am one of their "valued VW family members" reviewing this at the highest corporate levels...etc, etc....They say to call their 800 number, fine if you want to be on hold for 90 minutes (due to their little problem with TDI emissions testing cheating software and higher than usual call volume) listening to pukey music and getting some *** who has no clue and no authority but to "apologize"...The thing is, VW is actually owned by Porsche, so no excuse there for this kind of ***. Two words "lemon law"; another two "customer retention" normally works wonders (especially with Philippine/India call centers because they actually get taken out and beaten)

Volkswagen - Car Review from Edinburgh, Scotland

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
To whoever this may concern, I'm very disgusted and unhappy about the level of customer service I have received all round from volkswagen, my local branch in particular, they are very unprofessional and made a complete *** of me. My car was part of a recall in 2012, for fuel injectors to prevent faults happening i.e car cutting out, pulling and car failing in general. These so called 'new' parts that's where fitted to prevent this from happening have infact done exactly that, I was driving with my 2 kids our family car that has never had a problem until these 'parts' where replaced on my vehicle, the car has been pulling back, loosing power and at the start of last month (June) as we where driving home my car started pulling lost power and cut out completely in a set of crossroads, the car wouldn't start and it was extremely distressing, I had to abandon the car get my children out to the side of the pavement to safety and leave the car in middle of road, some nice men stopped the traffic and pushed the car out of the way of traffic, and I had to call a recovery company to the recover my car which also incurred costs. Since then I have had 2 diagnostic tests done on the car from avw autocare who informed me that 4 of the fuel injectors are showing a fault. I have called and written numerous times to the branch who did the recall on my car to be completely ignored and made out to be a liar. I spoke to John Donaldson in the services department at Western volkswagen fort Kinnaird Edinburgh and he said they can run a diagnostic test to see if this was the injectors, they had the car one week and then said that it was some other thing that's wrong with the car, and that they couldn't start the car because it was a flat battery but still took £70 from me for running diagnostic, I have taken the car back to vw autocare who have looked at it again and told me 110% the injectors are faulty. I'm extremely unhappy and feel physically sick at a company as big and volkswagen can take my car as part of a recall replace parts to ensure it to be in safe working order for me and my family for it then to put us in a dangerous situation and claim that parts only hold a certain warranty, as far as I'm concerned I'm taking matters further I have spoken to trading standard, and my local newspapers about the poor disgusting service i have received from them.

New '14 Jetta Sportwagen Brake and Transmission Issues

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
1,900 miles and the car makes a thunderous thrum when I brake from 70mph. Took it to Open Road VW of Bridgewater and they said noise is from the transmission and suggested I don't drive the car. I then went to Princeton VW (place I bought the car) and they said it is normal for the car to rumble when braking. I also have a '13 Sportwagen and do not have this issue and have owned VWs in my past so I know what I am being told is rubbish and I am continuing to push this to resolution. Again this car has only 1,900 (yes 1,900) miles only! As a loyal VW customer for a decade and currently own 2 VWs, rest assured VW has lost a customer for life unless VW and its dealer network are held accountable to their customers. I will keep you posted on if anyone associated with VW takes any accountability for their products.

Volkswagen - Car Review from Morgan City, Louisiana

This is not want I was told of VW this is just not how you keep a customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I am still very irritated with the level of service I have experienced through calling Volkswagen Customer Care. I hope that this will be resolved quickly and to both mine and my husband's satisfaction. The concept of having to wait up to four hours for a tow truck while my eight month old daughter is waiting with me in the 97 degree heat is preposterous. It is just good thinking on my part to call the dealership before arriving, because the person I talked to with Volkswagen Roadside Assistance did absolutely nothing to make sure that myself, my daughter, and my mother were taken care of.  Both myself and my husband have explained this situation to multiple Volkswagen employees, and still we have yet to receive an adequate response. Pete's offer to pay half of the rental car fee and the entire tow fee is nice, but it is merely a start. I sincerely hope that another mother doesn't have to go through this situation, particularly since the summer heat is no place for an infant to be in. Attention to (1) the level of customer service through Volkswagen Roadside Assistance, (2) service technicians still being on hand while the dealership is still "open," (3) loaner car availability, and (4) trip interruption policies would merely be a good start.  I should have been told that Volkswagen does not pay for rental cars unless it occurs under trip interruption. I also should have been told that the car has to break down over 100 miles from home. The way that policy reads, I could drive home (to south Louisiana) from Washington State, and as long as my car breaks down within 100 miles of my home, Volkswagen is not liable for the rental car. My car is my only mode of transportation back and forth to work for both myself and my husband.  The offer to pay half of the rental car fee and the entire tow fee is merely a STARTand in no way everything I wanted to make this work but I don't have the luxury of being able to stand on my principals as I have a 8 mouths old little girl to thank about so because of that my wife mind you said that's a START!!!!! But in now way is it over I am not stopping tell I have evidence that this matter has bin taking care of and I don't just mean my money I am out but the not responsible 100 miles from home if I'm not driving my everyday to work the store or anywhere else in town it's a tripe for me this needs 110% of all of your prompt attention.!!!!! I am disgusted with the experiences I have had so far in regards to this issue. Only one person I talked to has even tried to be reasonable and understanding. By the way, telling an irate customer that you have no control over that is a rather silly way to approach a complaint. By the time that most customers feel the need to complain "I have no control over that" is simply an unacceptable answer.  Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dustin Moss Po box 582 Amelia LA 70340 I have lost all faith in VW as of now until you'll can give me a reason in a timely manner and fix the problem and you're flows I have no choice but to use everything in my power to blow everything out to social media, network, newspapers, my friends and family members I work with all my combat veterans and any other places that I can make a bad name on VW this game is not what I want

Problems with my local VW dealership

My issues is quite lengthy and better explained either in a conversation or in a formal letter to someone of authority at VW. If concerns a recent expensive repair replacing my timebelt and subsequent malfunctions that 1) according to non-VW mechanics are due to "botched" time belt work and 2) according to my VW dealer are due to additional needed expensive repairs. Would you please provide me with such contact or the address and name of a person to whom I can address my complaint? Thank you. Regards. Antonio Marfia ancamy@***.com I have no more to say and adding this to arrive at total of 100 words.

My windshield exploded itself for no reason

I parked my VW2014 Tiguan SE bought just two weeks ago in the parking lot outside my office. After working for 4 hours I came out to find that the rear window was shattered! At the first sight I thought it was hit by external force, but after fully checked, I could found no signs, there weren’t any rocks, or tree branches and any unusual objects around and inside the car, and there wasn’t any other damage apart from the windshield. And it is unlikely to be a malicious deed to me. So I suspect that it is a mechanical defect. Does anyone have similar problems, please email me on kevincheng1022@***.com. Thanks alot and good luck to you all.
