My windshield exploded itself for no reason | Volkswagen review from Reston, Virginia

I parked my VW2014 Tiguan SE bought just two weeks ago in the parking lot outside my office. After working for 4 hours I came out to find that the rear window was shattered! At the first sight I thought it was hit by external force, but after fully checked, I could found no signs, there weren’t any rocks, or tree branches and any unusual objects around and inside the car, and there wasn’t any other damage apart from the windshield. And it is unlikely to be a malicious deed to me. So I suspect that it is a mechanical defect. Does anyone have similar problems, please email me on kevincheng1022@gmail.com. Thanks alot and good luck to you all.

Unfair lease end charges. | Volkswagen review

I returned my leased Volkswagen early to lease another Volkswagen. Old Lease: 36 months for 36,000 miles. At the time of return: 24 months - 34,000 miles - Payments were made for 36 months (fully paid off). 24 months by me and the 12 months by the dealer (technically me since i'm paying extra than I have to on the new lease). I am getting screwed by both the dealer and VW credit. VW credit is charging me for "loss on sale" - $1600. "Selling and storage fees" - $600. Ok, so i returned the car early - i get that. But all the payments were made. Car was under the allowed mileage. I leased ANOTHER VW from you. You want to charge me for storage fees? Fine. Fair enough since the car was returned early. But you are making me pay for the "loss on sale" as if this was a typical early termination??? I leased another VW FROM YOU!!! I still have two VW Passat's under lease. But will NEVER EVER buy one again. Never in my life. And it's too bad because i'm 26 and I would've leased their cars for rest of my life. My Advise - Stay away. Stay away as much as you can.

Tires cupping | Volkswagen review

I drive a 2012 Volkswagen CC. My vehicle has about 38000 miles on it. I have now replaced 3 tires and the two front tires 6 months later need to be replaced again due to cupping. The service department also suggested I have an alignment done which I plan to do with new tires being placed on this week. I haven't had as much trouble with tires until this model. I owned a Passat prior to this car and did have to replace all four tires on that car also.My husband drives a Minicooper. He hasn't ever had any tire problems or alignment problems and he has 62000 miles on his car. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the CC model of Volkswagen?

Unprofessional and fraud service | Volkswagen review from Gatineau, Quebec

Absolutely unprofessional ! Had to come 3 times to fix one problem. And 3 times to fix another one. Did not keep a word. When I contact general manager, I have been told to go to court if I wanted. Very rude guy. They made a break inspection and forgot to tighten two bolts! It was dangerous for the life of my family. After that they made an inspection related to check engine. I ask them how long it could take? They told me never more than .2 - .3 hours. But charged me for 1 full hour. After that estimated me oil switch pressure 3 hours after I made an estimate in other garage I have been told there 20-30 min. When I got back to them, they told me that mechanic made a mistake an I can come they replaces it for free I came and they did not ordered some gaskets! came in a week when gaskets arrived and after all they charge me for 2 hours!

Jerome Dalton | Volkswagen review from Woolloongabba, Queensland

Bought a VW Touareg $75k + it has been a nightmare car, VW are refusing to repair it and keep saying they cant find the faults. - Windows go up and down on their own, - sometimes the key jumps out and it wont turn off. - The rear tail lights fault intermittently ( it spent 8 days in the shop with VW saying it was fine) - interior ;and foot well lights fall out. - sticks in second gear - pain was scratched on delivery, dealer lied and said it would be fixed at first service then lost the paperwork. - stereo volume doesn't work - Navigation system is at least 7 years out of date. POOR QUALITY VEHICLE WITH WORSE SERVICE VW has gone to the dogs! VW Australia wont return my calls or emails. I am so sick mof being stone walled by this poor customer service and avoidance of warranty responsibilities!!

I owned two VW's and they were my last! VW's definitely offer a false perception of quality.

If you keep one long enough out of warranty it'll bleep your finances quickly. My 1998 Jetta was a horror show on wheels. I bought the Jetta new and I never once had a vehicle sit in the mechanics repair bay longer than my Jetta. I got rid of it three years later and lost $$$ on that VW.

I bought a used 1998 Ford Taurus that lasted me ten years and 278,000 miles virtually trouble free.

I now drive a 2009 Ford F-150. So far so good.

I have the same nightmares with my 2006 Touareg, V10 Diesel.I only have 50,000 miles on it and from the day I bought it, and the windows failed to roll down, which they still do intermittently although taken to dealerships twelve times for this, I should have given up and sold it back. Most expensive piece of garbage ever sold.

VW has NO ethics or moral responsibility. They should be ashamed for the way they have treated me, and obviously YOU!

The car has never had one day when it has run without incident. The car was in the shop for a total of six months, and Vw even paid $9,000 out of warranty to fix it but not one thing was fixed. I believe the dealership charged VW for repairs never made, as the parts they claimed they replaced were dirty and covered with calcium deposits from external water.

It is an electrical nightmare, bad, failing or overactive sensors, faulty headlights which three dealerships have refused to replace even in light of a lawsuit about it, brakes are bad, transmission is bad, airbag fault, drivetrain fault, engine faults, engine workshop faults, check Every single thing faults, but all so intermittent that it never can be "reproduced". One mechanic told me the windows would not lower with the key because I had made the SWITCH tired. And then refused to fix it. You can view my videos of the failures of this car on my Namkha Wangmo you tube videos.

:( Have owned tons of VWs, best was 2002 W8 Passat...but NEVER again...they uncategorically suck as a manufacturer.

NOW they offer free servicing. Garbage on wheels.

SAVE Time, $'s & Aggro | Volkswagen review from Stockton, California

Well my NEW 2013 Passat SEL Premium ex CentralValley Volkswagen (Modesto) is superb.. AS is their overall Customer Service Experience..Respect, Great Business Ethics, Fantastic Quality Control and Much Much More..This is completely opposite to my experience with Merced Kia/Hyundai/Volkswagen who have questionable business ethics, POOR quality control throughout the dealership and have a standby position of Arrogance & Bul*Shi*... To, Peter, Paul & whoever writes the checks YOU have LOST YET another GOOD Customer...CentralValley Modesto, WELL WORTH THE DRIVE..I have no financial affiliations to either dealership. I head for CentralValley Modestoevery time........Accelerate PAST Merced Kia/Hyundai/Volkswagen..GO Modesto every time...........

Is my VW really 'certified'? | Volkswagen review from San Bruno, California

Purchased an09 Jetta TDI, 38,000 miles on 8/15/2012. Car was running hot. 1.5 months later, checked the coolant. Discovered it was NOT G12 (according to 2 Service Dept. employees, including the manager) and admitted on my phone's voicemail. How much engine damage has occurred using non-G12 coolant, as specified? Why was this not checked and rectified during VW's used car certification before it was purchsed? Of course, Autohaus refuses to accept responsibility. They continually skirted the issue. So, now i question the entire certification of my car. THANKS, AUTO HAUS, LANCASTER, PA! NEVER AGAIN!

INHUMANE HOURS. ONE DAY OFF. DANGEROUS. | Volkswagen review from Pikeville, Tennessee

Hours are inhumane. 12 hr nights/6 in a row/ one night off/long commute is a disaster waiting to happen. EVERYONE should get 2 nights off after working 6/ 12 hrs in a row! If employee complains of exhaustion, he/she is told to like it or leave it. Maybe a tragedy, followed by a lawsuit [with tv exposure] will change things into a humane place to work? Ceva/Volkswagon of Chattanooga...did you understand? [There was NO catagory to fit this complaint. Hmmm. Imagine that] I have grown kids who do not know I'm posting about their situation. But, I'm the one who will get the call when an accident happens. And, I'm the one who sees them loosing weight, going to sleep driving, having NO family time, No leisure time, showing signs of depression, etc....TOO MANY HOURS & NOT ENOUGH DOWN TIME! Yes! I'M PISSED! And, intend to take some action!

I'm sorry that the corporation is so greedy, against unions, which are part of what made the U.S. great, and that VW instead of U.S.

citizens was supported by a member of congress.

its really simple--GET ANOTHER JOB and let someone who's really wanting to work have it--i'm guessing they are getting paid for the work and the over time--or are they working for free?
